Horses and Patterns

As you can see, I don't update my blog very often - prefer to write as it comes to me rather than post stuff for the sake of it.  I've been thinking about this particular issue for some time now and want to share my thoughts and ask you for yours.

Whether you believe in re incarnation, the afterlife, whether you think you're here for a particular purpose or if your presence is simply a random accident, I don't think any of us can deny that we all have patterns in our life.  Whether these patterns continue for us at a 'soul level' is stuff for another debate!!  However, if we've been at all honest with ourselves, we'll all have noticed that certain things keep happening to us whether in relationships, luck, life in general.  So, why is that?

I've seen a couple of patterns that repeat themselves for me and I continue to be presented with opportunities to do things differently.  After my frustration has subsided about finding myself in the same old situation AGAIN, I recognise that I must be repeating behaviour somewhere for the same things to keep happening.  It's no one's 'fault'; I can't 'blame' anyone else; I can simply be prepared to recognise it's happened and see what I need to change to stop it happening again.

What's amazed me recently is that these patterns are now being shown to me in my work with equine facilitate learning.  What great teachers horses are.  I've found that people's approach to learning to ride and being around these magnificent creatures often shows them how they deal with life at work, home or socially.  With horses, they get a fabulous opportunity in a safe, non threatening environment to experiment with doing things differently. Many of my clients never want to ride and have never been round horses before but love the thought of approaching coaching in a slightly different way; one on one conversations with your coach is a great way to proceed, but sometimes a third party such as a horse can demonstrate things way better than a coach could.

I'm so excited about the potential for this work and love seeing the value that clients get out of it.  What's even more rewarding is how much the horses get out of it too!  They feel like they've really participated in helping and this makes them feel really special.  It's win, win!!  So, watch this space for more updates about how these animals can help us move forward with our personal or professional development.  As for my repeating patterns - I'll let you know how I get on!!!

I am extremely impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Anyway keep up the excellent quality writing, it’s rare to see a great blog like this one these days.
